AN UNDER-12s football team has scored a new strip deal thanks to a sponsorship link-up with the St. Enoch Centre.
Carnloch Boys Club, from Carntyne, approached the centre to ask for help in support the boys who play in the Sunday league.
The team is run by the husband and wife team of John and Janis Hannah.
John, who works as a security officer at St. Enoch, approached management after the club was struggling.
Management were delighted to help out and put something back into the community.
John said: "This a great gesture from the management team. The boys love their football and this will give them a real boost."
Tracy McAllister, marketing manager at the St. Enoch Centre, said: "Since the Centre opened in 1989 it has played an important role in the local community.
"We were really pleased to be able to support the boys and we wish them every success in the future."
The sponsorship deal comes as work progress on the £100 million transformation of the St. Enoch Centre by owners Ivanhoe Cambridge.
On completion in 2009, St. Enoch's will boast more than one million square feet of retail and leisure space and will accommodate more than 40 new retailers.
